THE HUNGER GAMES SERIES: Unfinished review and comparsion of books to movies
Our first thoughts on it
First, if you've only ever seen the movies, read the books.
Even if you didn't like the movies, the books are so much better.
The actors were great and the plots of the movies were okay but they made a lot of mistakes with what they chose to replace certain narration or conversations with.
We could list a number of things that they could have chosen to do with the same amount of time and made the movies have a stronger impact then they did.
Yes they couldnt include the narration by Katniss like the books did.
Yes it needed to be pared down to be a movie.
I get that, all of that.
But the time they spend training lacks the bond they start to have
The time in the cave he says he watched her walk home everyday like she was cute and thats all
Nothing about her voice being

THE LORD OF THE RINGS: THE FELLOWSHIP OF THE RING
Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring
Awesome movie.Definitely not flawlessly adapted from the brillant book.They left out Tom Bombadil and Goldberry. They left out the Barrows & the Barrow-wights. They cut down some scary things about the Wraiths. But I love seeing the incredible detail of the Shire and Rivendell,Rohan, Lothlorien, Fangorn Forest, even Moria. Plus most of the actors were brillant, emotional,and fairly close to their character.
Scenery was incredible. Plus people who never read the book saw the movie and some people were inspired by the hopeful points in the story that they kept in the movie.
There was some funny things, some tense things, all around pretty great movie.
I know it always cheers me up when I am feeling really down and like the odds are against me.
A much better review coming soon. This was all we had yet and we wanted to get at least 1 review posted so it isn't sitting around all empty and lonely since it was a blog with no posts.

So to start off, there are a couple of us goofy, silly geeky quirky girls who wanted to share our love of quality science fiction and fantasy and mystery books and movies and tv shows, and our deep annoyance and irritation for the bad stuff where they suck you in promising fun, and leave you at the end cursing at the tv!
So here we go.
First we're also going to have a fan site where you can chat, and a facebook page so as soon as we get all the first reviews typed out you can sit back and climb into our thoughts!
Until then, I have to go watch some hotties on killjoys and x-men first class.
