Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring


Awesome movie.Definitely not flawlessly adapted from the brillant book.They left out Tom Bombadil and Goldberry. They left out the Barrows & the Barrow-wights. They cut down some scary things about the Wraiths. But I love seeing the incredible detail of the Shire and Rivendell,Rohan, Lothlorien, Fangorn Forest, even Moria. Plus most of the actors were brillant, emotional,and fairly close to their character.
Scenery was incredible. Plus people who never read the book saw the movie and some people were inspired by the hopeful points in the story that they kept in the movie.
There was some funny things, some tense things, all around pretty great movie.
I know it always cheers me up when I am feeling really down and like the odds are against me.

So to start off, there are a couple of us goofy, silly geeky quirky girls who wanted to share our love of quality science fiction and fantasy and mystery books and movies and tv shows, and our deep annoyance and irritation for the bad stuff where they suck you in promising fun, and leave you at the end cursing at the tv!

So here we go.
First we're also going to have a fan site where you can chat, and a facebook page so as soon as we get all the first reviews typed out you can sit back and climb into our thoughts!


Until then, I have to go watch some hotties on killjoys and x-men first class.
